Just one tiplet, the link you posted can be tidied up a bit, as the only things to make it work are the Item ID and the bit that says "I want to download this", so when you have a link like this...

http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=218080&g2_serialNumber=1&g2_GALLERYSID=925cef53f4c41f067fd98edbdb2176a4

...you can trim off the serial number and session ID, so you link becomes a more managable...

http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=218080

...of course you can't see that effect as the forum seems to shorten displayed links. Move your mouse over the links and look at the status bar to see what I mean.
