Tomorrow, I am leaving to go work for the Northwest Youth Corps (http://nwyouthcorps.org), for six whole weeks!! That means I'll be living in the woods, and, as far as I know, the woods have no internet access...so I won't be posting again here until probably the 25th of July...just so you know. I'm not dead, or anything. Well, maybe I am, but I don't think so.
Bye!

Well have fun. There are going to be so many threads you will probably want to go through when you return.

Your getting paid right?
It's probably one of those things that HE has to pay for.

See if you can research the age old question, "If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?"
Or for more of a challenge, "If a man stands alone in the woods and speaks and there's no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?"

It's a summer job...trail building, mostly.

I don't think so, I think he's going to NYC too....

I'll see what I can do...but if I'm in the woods, then there is someone there. So I don't know how easy that'll be.

If your building trails, for walking\hiking I presume, there's only one way to really test them out, with a uni!!!

Cool. That's a great job. My daughter did that 2 years ago. Are you doing it just for the $$ (not much, I know), the experience, or both? Maybe heading for a career in forestry or NPS? Anyway, have a great summer. See you back here in a while.

Nahh, we've tried that one. It still makes sound.

make sure that you stand super far away from falling trees... and that falling trees can knock over other dead trees... my brothers $2000 b*ke learned that the hard way.... but its okay now.... that would be sweet to bring a uni! have fun!

Dang that's got to hurt.
When I worked logging last summer we had trees fall within a foot or two of us... as long as your watching you can just step out of the way and it comes crashing down right next to you.
