This would be general all-around uni-ing, including muni, trials, street, etc. For me, I'd say that I'm averaging about 1 hour daily, plus maybe 4-5 hours on sunday when I join the SBuni group! So that makes about 10+ per week for me.

I probably rode about 7 hours over the past week. I don't think my aging body could've handled any more freestyle. But I just started to glide for the first time, so I couldn't help myself. Thank God it's raining today. I need a break. ;)

Here's a sub-question: Has anyone noticed significant weight-loss and improved fitness since you started riding? Since re-starting my uni riding about 2 months ago, after a multi-year layoff, I've dropped from 160lbs, down to about 151, and I my endurance level has improved by leaps and bounds. And this is due mostly to riding muni about 1 hour daily, and also eating better and cutting out the sweets and junk food. So, for me, unicycling is as much about getting and staying fit, as it is about just having fun, which it way is! I'm with Phlegm above as far as "needing a break!" Especially after The Ojai muni ride yesterday with the SBuni group...what an EXTREME workout!

I've actually gained weight, but I've been an avid cyclist for almost all of my adult life. It seems that the higher ratio of anaerobic to aerobic exercise involved in unicycling compared to road and XC mountain biking has helped me retain more muscle mass. Or, it could just be due to my age.

Averaged out over the last 8 weeks, er... no hours at all. Not even a minute.

This situation needs rectifying.

Life gets in the way too often, and when it isn't life, it's darkness or inclement weather.

I ride several times a day, I'll go out and ride for 10 minutes-hour, come back in, do something, go back out and ride, etc...

I ride anywhere from 1 and a half to 2 hours a day, except for really rainy/bad weather days, and then on weekends, it can range from no practice to 3 or 4 hours.

I lost weight when I started but it was weird because I was under 100lb to begin with. I try to ride like an hour after school, then it gets dark then on the weekends I ride 2-3 hours or more, it seems like I am riding all day because I take lots of breaks. When I hurt myself then I ride less but I usually don't stop when I'm hurt unless I can't stand up or something, thats only happened a couple times though.

I havent lost weight yet, but i just got my torker dx and from riding that, i can already feel it working my legs, cause right now its kinda slugish to ride around on, so i bet im gonna lose some wirght, gain some endurance soon.

I ride about an hour a day, sometimes about 5 hours in a day, so im not excactly sure, probably around 7+

when ski season is over i will ride about once everyother day for 1-4 hours... but now im not going to do anything to risk hurting myself before nationals and the worldcup finals coming up... but my workouts for skiing are so intense that nomatter what i do after ski season i gain wieght, (varsity soccer)... but unicycling keeps my legs strong for the next winter so i do it as much as my knees will allow

as much as my knees will allow

I try to do half hour at lunch and as much at the weekend as possible, but I want get back on the surf board too soon, I hoping all this unicycling has improved my balance on the board.
Can anyone enlighten me, has anyone else suffered knee injuries - not from falling, just from peddling or am i just out of shape? :o

Usually 12-15 hours a week for me, spread over four different days. Lately it has been a mix of MUni, freestyle, and Ultimate Wheel.

At the moment I'm using the muni to get to work most days, so I'm riding quite a bit (takes me about an hour to get in if I sprint it, slightly more back). I usually try to do a longish ride at the weekend, at least two hours, so I'm probably riding about 13 or 14 hours a week at the moment, something like 100 miles. That's a maximum estimate - sometimes I hitch a lift home so that takes a couple of hours off my maximum.

I don't usually use the unicycle for work quite so much, but it's likely to keep getting heavy use for the next few weeks because my bike frame is being sent away for refurbishment and a few mods. When I've got the bike (and it's not too icy) I use it most of the time for work, so only unicycle commute one or two days a week.

Probably more than you wanted to know :D
Anyway, based on my current riding I answered "way more than that"

Depends on the weather. Spring is almost here in my area and the days are getting longer so my riding time should increase. I really miss not being able to ride much during the winter.

I ride about an hour a day and I lost weight and became way fitter since I ride but @pinwheel: when I ride more than an hour a day my back and knee becomes sore (without injury) this is not because of my age (i am 16) so I dont know what causes this pain...

Roll on the summer so that I can put 'way more than that'. It seems to have been winter forever.

You didn't provide a suitable option for me, so I went for the next closest and chose 1-2hrs a week. It used to be more, and it will be bumped back up once I get this muni finished, but over the last 2 or 3 months it's probably averaged out to about 30 minutes a week!

Lately, I ride about as much as I post. Zero.

Lesson learned: Unicycling prevents weight gain.
