Would you rather be abstinent or vegan?

I've been arguing this one with several people. Seems about evenly split so far.
Personally, I couldn't imagine giving up meat, let alone milk and eggs.
Others seem to disagree. Even people who've never had sex say they'd rather be vegan.
Some people place a higher value on good food.
Opinions?

I'd rather be abstinent than be a vegan. I would just miss all the goodies so much! Plus, masturbation is still an option if I ever regret my decision.

thats a silly question, of course the answer is vegan. There are plenty of fake meats out there and you can still eat very well as a vegan these days if you look into it.

Agreed. Good sex always leaves me hungering for good food. Good food, well, it just leaves me satisfied.

Edit: If you take my steak away, and take my cheese away, you might as well cut out my tongue. I'd volunteer for self-mutilation before going vegan voluntarily.

there are so many great foods out there that don't contain meat. for instance, tortellini with alfredo sauce, oh man, that is so good! I would choose going vegan.

Uh, dude...Jello isn't even vegatarian, let alone vegan (though it is one of the animal products with which many vegatarians cheat on their diet).
It's usually made from pork, but beef is also used.

Being a vegan wouldn't be that bad. I try not to eat too much dairy & animal produce when I'm eating at college because they buy cheap stuff so it is probably all from poorly-run/battery farms, so I'm practically a vegan during term-time. I can't enjoy eating an egg if I know it's likely to have come from a bird that's lived it's whole life in the same cramped spot with its beak cut off. There's lots of good vegan food, and good 'vegetarian sausages' taste just as good as sausages except you never suddenly bite on a bit of gristle or bone. But I don't see that there's any real comparison to be made anyway.
