I'm tired of listening to John Cage's composition--been listening to it much of this week. I'm currently listening to a performance of the Chopin piano piece "Waltz No. 2 in A Flat Major Op. 34 No. 1."

I'm sitting in a radio studio, shall I post the playlist?

Currently 'Walk Tall' by John Cougar Mellencamp going into a double play with 'If i could turn back the hands of time' by R Kelly.
That'll be followed by "Sun is shining" by Funkstar Deluxe ft Bob Marley into "That's what friends are for" by Dionne Warrick, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and Elton John.

James Blunt's "You're beautifull", Jon Secada's "Do you believe in us" and Kerri Noble's "Talk to me" will tripple-up to take me over the top of the hour.

The word you're looking for is 'eclectic'.

"Sippin' on some Syrup" instrumental from "Memphis Instrumentals Vol.1" by Three-6-Mafia.

They usually got dark as fuck lyrics but these instrumental albums are chilled to bits! It's rap music without the rapping - just beats, breaks, and samples.

Greenday's American Idiot (the entire album)
Since I just criticized it in the "What's you favorite opera?" thread, I figured I should listen to it again just to see if hear something special in it.I've noticed that you've never liked the album much.
I love it, but being unable to explain why, I've never brought it up.
I'll go give it a bunch of listens as well and see if I can figure out what I like about it.
I do think that the concept of a 'rock opera', not to mention a 'concept album', have become slightly dilluted since the bad ole days.
Miles Davis, Bitches Brew.
