"The Fool on the Hill" The Beatles (and Daniel? It is a great song!)

It's definitely in my Top 5 for Beatles songs (it was the one I was looking forward to researching for me EE the most.) It's behind Let It Be and Hey Jude, but probably above Come Together and Eleanor Rigby.

I think Rubber Soul is my favorite album.

That's interesting, because Rubber Soul is my least favorite of my Beatles albums so far. I guess that's why the Beatles are so great- they satisfy almost everyone's taste in some way.

And "Drive My Car" is definitely awesome; you're right. Find the Paul McCartney Super Bowl halftime show, and it was the first song he sang. Still sounds eerily like the album's Paul, even at 64 (then 62, I think.)

I got a big knob (http://www.mackie.com/products/bigknob/), got records to play. :D

I sold my home stereo a few months ago and since then I haven't been able to play my records. I just fixed that by getting a Mackie Big Knob (http://www.mackie.com/products/bigknob/). It's the control center and preamp for my computer system. As a bonus it includes a phone preamp so I can play my turntable again. Woot!

With that as an introduction I'm listening to Pictures At An Exhibition performed by Emerson Lake & Palmer on vinyl. I haven't played that album in a long time.

I only have a handful of jazz albums and don't follow the jazz scene much at all. There is much about jazz that I haven't heard and am unaware of. I'm an uneducated jazz consumer.

Raphael, as incredible as you are, sometimes I wonder if you're actually a sane thinking human being. Anything more in your post might have stretched you all the way up to idiot status this time.

Congrats, you've managed to push one of my buttons this morning. Now I'm going to wander off in another general direction and go fix my shower.

Yoops,

I have to agree with you on this one. When Raphael posts songs like this, i have to think: What kind of a sik f*k am I dealing with?!

Ms. Ayelery suggested it was the murderous excitement of the song which created the gramatical error in posting the title. Personally, I can't comment.

If Everyone Cared ~ Nickelback

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive

[Chorus:]
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died

And I'm singing

Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
(I'm alive)

[Chorus x2]

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
When nobody died...

[Chorus]

We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day when nobody died

i posted this in the other 'what are you listnin to' thread, before i remembered this one existed...

Fear of The Dark (Live) - Iron Maiden
I think these are the lyrics,..

I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park

When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when its dark

Chorus:Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that somethings always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someones all ways there

Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light?
Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that somethings watching you

Chorus

Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no ones there?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure theres someone there

Chorus
[real long instrumental]
Fear of the dark! Fear of the Dark! Fear of the Dark! Fear of the Dark!
[crowd participation is always nice]

Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind

Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that somethings always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someones all ways there

When I'm walking a dark road
I am a man who walks alone...
