I saw their opening show for the Experience Hendrix tour, got my copy of valleys of neptune there. It was a pretty cool show, I've seen better, but still pretty cool. I was in the second row on the left, but unfortunately I had a moronic party-girl sitting in front of me, who wanted to stand up and dance during the whole show with her goofy looking boyfriend, blocking the view of many of us. The group of guys 50 years+ stoned out of their minds next to me was pretty entertaining though.

This guy subbed my channel, and I've been hooked on his stuff. Normally this isn't my kind of thing. But it's like being in a trance, I think it's really cool, and I find myself going back to it again and again.

It does have a certain hook. And he's obviously having fun making it. I listened to Hope and a few others in his channel.

But ouch! He needs to tone down the treble. The cymbal hit is either clipping or the sample itself is bad or the post-processing he's doing to it is killing it. That kind of distortion is not comfortable to listen to and is not conducive to chill-out beats. Maybe he just needs better monitor speakers and headphones so he can hear what the treble is doing. I've got 40 year old ears with naturally rolled off treble and that treble is too much for me.

Which isn't a complaint about the music. Just the technical production.

Yeah and some of his stuff has some backtracks that get a little too repeditive, but I've been listening to it while I'm working and its great, with the exception of the really dark sounding ones, they are a bit distracting.
