I like the ones we have.
If we get real fancy ones... itll take away from the simplisity of the emoticon, which adds a nice touch to your text, and will become some nice (or questionably nice) text added onto emotions.

Yes. a newborn experiences only 2 emotions, so newborns can only use and understand 2 emoticons. As we develop more emotions, we need more emoticons. Some stop at 6 or 9, some go on to develop a full spectrum.
