That is a good picture of your new helmet. I wish I knew enough about bikes to give you an intelligent comliment besides they look cool.!!

I pretty much only ride my unicycles and my car. I guess i ride the shopping cart at the grocery store parking lot, too. Here's my only shot of my car. It's my son repairing the roof of my Jeep. He went missing one afternoon and I found him atop my ride.

It's in good running order right now. I am looking for a "little tikes" or "playskool" brand exhaust repair kit, because the muffler is getting a bit old.

My dad had a later version of that car, but with a 3 speed manual tranny to go with the super shallow rear gears and 250 I-6. Made me learn to use a clutch with that thing, he did.

I do have one of these:
http://www.kickbike.com/easydata/customers/kickbike/files/kickbike_tuote/millennium_racer_large2.jpg
Not an actual picture of mine, but close enough. The only actual replaced part is the footplate; it's now a .060" thick replacement (stocker was .1"ish) fabbed up at work, held on with 4 aluminum huck rivets. It *is* currently missing the kickstand and rear brake, of course!

I'm not sure what a wip is either, but it seems to be other modes of transportation. With that in mind, from a vehicle thread long ago...

planet x alibongo

fixie = $$ and you can ride to the grocery store, to school, where ever.
Dh bike = $$$$$$$$ and you can ride it down hills

If you don't have a car or dont have a parent who mtb's, wait to buy a freeride bike until you can drive yourself to a bike park / trail head.

I'd say that's "maybe" with a BIG capital M, boo dear. At a minimum, you would certainly know the meaning of a bunch of sounds not in the dictionary. That goal was good enough for some of our ancestors, but it never hurts to set one's sight just a little bit higher.

My 82 R100RS

I used to have a 77 R100S which was cooler but the frame mounted fairing on the RS gives a lot more protection when riding in colder temps.

I love this bike:)

Its a landyachtz drop carve downhill board. The top and bottom laminates are fiberglass so it has some felx. If I'm not riding to campus on my uni, I'm on this. Mine has ABEC 11 wheels (75a durometer) and ABEC 7 bearings(thats a rating of the bearings). The trucks (metal parts) look weird because they are actually mounted to the top of the board to allow a lower center of gravity.

Why the BMX style saddle? A more MTB style saddle would be more comfortable for the XC style riding position on that bike.

you are so right. it was built with random parts laying on my shop floor. the frame is the only thing i payed for. The seat+post will be some of the first things upgraded. Its also in need of some real wheels
