How can I get better at hops, i can do the basic curb jump stuff and I just got a Qu-Ax trials uni. But when i look at people jump up like 1foot objects they all have the seat out in front, do u have to have in front or can I just hold on to the handle? What is the best way to learn? thanks for your help.

i have been riding for like 2 1/2 years now, and for the first 2 years, i only knew how to hop about 2 foot just normally!! until i found out about being able to hop with the seat out.
all i can suggest is if you learn to hop with the seat inbetween ur legs at start by compressing the wheel before hopping! But if i were u, i would try to learn how to hop with the seat out, it may feel unbalanced at the beginning but u get used to it and it is greeaatt!! But with normal hopping all i can say is to start by doing little hops to gain ur momentom, and then just before u are about to do the final hop up the obstacle compress the tyre and then spring urself up!!

rolling hop can get some height with the seat in. But if you wanna do static I suggest seat out. I might take a bit of practice to get used to but it's worth i tin the end. I like seat in rolling hops better tho, I guess it's sorta normal since I ride street. Most trials riders will ride seat out for higher hops and further gap distance.

seat out is easier but not entirely nescesary...you should only need to use it once you can do 2-3 pallets seat in...just a sugesstion
