You have to use your unicyclist.com e-mail address, so yours will be "cruisecontrol@unicyclist.com", and your password is obviously your forum password. I've just tried mine for the first time (844 messages, lol), so it does work.

Hope that helps Justin.

Try it now.

The folders were not created for your account, so I just sent you an email to there which will create the folders automatically.

Gilby, man!

I just tried the webmail for the first time, all works cool. One thing tho....

When you click "webmail" from unicyclist.com it takes you away from unicyclist.com to the webmail site, but when you click on "unicyclist.com" from the webmail site it opens unicyclist.com up in a new window.

Is there any chance or way you could you make unicyclist.com open the webmail in a new window too?

Your inbox doesn't work here because your email is forwarded to a gmail address.

So, how do I make it a separate e-mail?
How do I stop it forwarding?

Okay, people. I think I figured out how to fix the problem b/c I just fixed mine and I had the same error message as everyone else. First, when logged into unicyclist.com, go to "user control panel". If you don't know how to navigate your browser to the user control panel, then follow the proceeding steps. If you know how to get to the user control panel, start at step 3.

1) When you first log in you should see in this order from top to bottom "Unicyclist.community", then two parallel navy blue bands with different links along each band (1st blue band (from left to right) home, gallery, forums, webmail, links, map, donate)(2nd blue band (from left to right) User CP, FAQ, Members List, Calendar, New Posts, Search, Quick Links, and Log out).

2) Click User CP. CP stands for Control Panel.

3) Once you navigate to the control panel, you should see "New Subscribed Threads" in the center of the screen and "Control Panel" on the left. Click on "Edit Email & Password", which is found under "Settings & Options" on the control panel. When you arrive at the next screen, enter your password where it reads "Enter your present password to continue:". Next, type in your email address for unicyclist.com in the section where it reads, "Edit Email Address (Optional)". Your email address for unicyclist.com is "username@unicyclist.com". Where I typed username, replace with your specific user name. For example, my webmail address is aquaman@unicyclist.com. Now click "Save Changes".

4) After, you click "Save Changes", click "webmail" located on the first navy blue band. I suggest opening webmail either in a new tab or in a new browser window. Depending on which internet browser you use, right click on "webmail" and left click on the option that most resembles this sentence fragment: Open Link in New Tab. Your browser should lead you to the login page for unicyclist.com webmail. Where it reads name, type in your unicyclist.com email address. Your password is the same password you use to log into the main unicyclist.com web page. You should now be logged in, but if you still see an error message, then from any other email address send an email to your unicyclist.com email address. Now, try logging back into unicyclist.com webmail. It should now be functioning properly. Enjoy using your new email account :D.

I may have made a mistake. I don't think you have to change the email address you type in the Edit Email & Password section of the Control Panel. I think all you have to do in order to create an active inbox is to send an email to your webmail address from an alternate email.

I sent myself a mesage from hotmail to see if that would activate the account and it was forwared back and looked just like a normal e-mail.

I then sent myself an e-mail from my university account and it came through but the content was "blocked for my safety"

About Sender ID, spoofing, and phishing

Sender ID is a technical solution started by Microsoft and other industry leaders to help fight spoofing (Sending messages with fake or stolen account information.) and phishing (Falsely claiming to be a legitimate business to send you to a fake website or scam you into giving out private information.) , which are the two primary deceptive practices used by senders of junk e-mail (Unwanted, unsolicited, or illicit e-mail or other electronic messages. Also called spam.) . For more information, visit the Sender ID Framework Overview web page.
Notes

* Windows Live Hotmail treats all messages that fail Sender ID and phishing tests as fraudulent, and warns the user about opening these messages. For information about how to read blocked e-mail messages, see Block or allow messages from specific senders and domains.
* If you experience difficulties when you use another mail service to send your mail but you use your Windows Live Hotmail address as the sending address, contact the network administrator of the other service for help.

Could other peoples messages be going to their junk because they aparently sometimes fail sender ID or phishing tests?
