Ah, snow is on the ground and a great feeling is in the air that comes with everything being bright and white. It's a weird feeling that comes with the first snowfall I guess.

Snowing here too. I love the first snow of the season, something I look forward to each year. We're going here (http://www.sinnissippiforest.com/) on December 3 with Ashley's family to get a Christmas tree. It's always a great trip with lots of fun and seasonal spirit, then out to eat afterwards.

Eww.

But I guess that's the most healty attitude if you have to live there... :)

Sacramento version:
Ah, Fall is here and the leaves are all different colors! The temps are staying below the 80s and get into the 40s at night. It's an awesome time of the year to ride the trails.

Lake Tahoe version:
It snowed in September (MUni Weekend last year). But then it got warm again!

Its still fall in Seattle but the Cascade Mountains got an early snow dump so many of the local ski areas are already open. But now that they're open there is no significant precipitation predicted through Thanksgiving. :(

Yeah, the day of the first snowfall is good, but it does mean the beginning on the most depressing season. Short days (gets dark early) and a lot of staying inside... therefore, I've got a trip to CA being planned, so that I can train for the Laos Unitour.

Lesse, yesterday it was 78 with light winds. Today, 76 and clear skies. Some of my coworkers are taking off early today to enjoy the "winter weather" here.

Where in CA are you going?

Los Angeles version:
Ah, it's 90 degrees out and I forgot what seasons are! Hey, where'd the smog go?

I spent the last 23 years in Maine. I hate snow almost as much as I hate the cold. Now I live less than 10 miles from the Angeles National Forest, and I love it. Year 'round, the mornings are the perfect temperature for riding!

Right in your backyard, as that's where the others from the US that aregoing to Laos live.

Yesterday it was 90 degrees F, but today we woke up, the temperature was below zero and we have seven feet of snow on the ground.

I don't like winter because all I can ride is muni, and even then my unicycle gets COVERED in snow and gunk.

We already got our tree. Its sitting out in the garage. (we wanted to cut it before the mountain roads got snowed in)

its around 79 degrees right now... its a beautiful day of winter...
i live in Phoenix Arizona so it never gets cold enough to get snow. im my opinion its good to travel to snow but it would stink to live in it. I ghess snow is good when it first falls but when it starts to melt... its gross and miserable
