So what would characterize a thread as a classic? Would it be the number of replies, i.e., it's popularity? Would it be (and I seriously doubt this) it's content? I would consider such threads as "Most Replies", Gallery of Funny Pictures" and others as classics, wouldn't you? So if we first identify the components of classic, can we then begin considering which threads fit the bill?
(Ummm, aren't these cheesy powder biscuits I made last night the tops?)

But isn't that what I'm asking? What is the definition of a classic thread?
Do you want to make a list of classic threads and find a common characteristic that distingiushes them from all the other threads? Would that help you look for the definition? Or was it exactly what you were doing before?
Which specific threads do you consider classic?

Who was it that said "If you have to ask the point, you can't afford it"?
Wasn't that a Maserati salesman, talking about fuel economy and price?
Is it reading this thread that's making my head spin?

When Thai folks pull on their shoes, they have to ________ the laces.
When two Thais get married, they ________ the knot.
One, two, three offences. You're outta here!
How have I offended thee?
Besides, have you misplaced your question marks?
Did I misplace my question marks, or was I just demonstrating solidarity by piling on your question-markless post with one of my own?
Now what do we do?

How do we handle this? Can I issue a yellow card to Tom in good conscious when he previously called me on a grievous error of my own against the regulations of this thread? How can we rectify the situation without an image of retaliation showing its ugly head? Should we use a different color card? Any suggestions?

Could I be any more embarrased about my egregious offence? Is it possible I was multi-tasking and forgot I was in the whose question thread? Or am I just so eager to prove I'm right that I let all protocol fall by the wayside?
Or is it d) all of the above?
