It's not so much that I'm apathetic, as much as it is I just don't care.

This is hard to reply to. I don't want to think too hard.

I used to be apathetic, but I gave it up in the end... the effort just wasn't worth it.

I'm an amnesiac, apathetic procrastinator. I forget now, put it off until later, then don't care when I get around to it.

It's important to care! Please stop not caring! I care and I want you to care too. I want to change you into a carer.

(if you object to this post in any way, then it means that you do care...)

Ten characters? Whut? Why ten characters?

Dammit, now look what you've done, you've broken me out of my apathetic stupor!

/me collapses on the floor; sitting on a chair is just so much effort...

Try making a post with fewer than ten characters (type meh and press the Preview button). The forum software doesn't allow it.

For a thread entirely written by apathetic people, getting a second page isn't bad - that's some serious slacking. It raises the question of wether our apathy is simple a lack of wanting to exert effort, or is it simply another form of effort where effort has to be exerted in order to demonstrate that we do not believe in effort.

Thought for the day - if more and more people are working from home, does that mean everyone else has to slack from work to compensate?

I've been wondering why such an apathetic thread goes the extra effort to have a post icon (the green arrow)? Seems rather unapathetic to me.
Not that I've put much thought into that...

I actually wish I could be more apathetic right now, especially about politics. I just get so riled up in political discussions, and so frustrated with the direction this country is going. I honestly wish that I could not care, it would make my life much easier.

Right now I am actually trying REALLY HARD to be apathetic. The world would be a much nicer place if more people didn't care... :)

Thank you This and phil for that reality check. You've swung me over. I now officially don't care. I don't even know why I'm letting you know. (and if I slip up and start caring again, don't bother letting me know because... I just don't care whether I care or not -- and neither do you).

Not true - I care a lot about people not caring.

Wow... now that is hardcore apathy. Even I'm not as apathetic as that.

I would raise my hat to you, but... I can't be bothered... :)
