Ok. You've all seen Catboy make this claim:

Anyone can talk to cats. There's nothing amazing about it. I've gotten many PMs from unicyclists concerned that when catboy claims he is doing something amazing, it hurts those of us who are doing truly amazing things. We've been stewing in silence long enough. It's time to come out and sound off about how Catboy hurts all of us when he makes such claims.
You might also sound off about how he is rude and farts on these threads, and more.
Such conduct is the stuff wars are made of (nobody believed Iraq had WMDs, right? But nobody spoke out). He is rude and starting big fights, and we've been PMing each other behind his back in order to cope with this disturbing element, and to keep peace. But no longer!

Who are these people you say to have formed an anti-catboy cult with?
Sure anyone can just go out and "talk" to cats, but it's all unintelligible jibber jabber to our feline friends. I can actually communicate with them in their native toungue and understand them as well. It's half vocal and half ESP.
Besides, communication with cats is only one of several amazing powers I recieved from my Catogenic mutation.
It seems to me like you have some issues of your own to work out. I'm amazing, and you're just jealous.

No issues here, although some bald guy in a wheelchair once approached me and was talking about some nerd school, but I never went. My mom tells me she loves me all the time, and that I am special, but I think she does it to everyone since she is a preschool teacher. The cat thing isn't a joke, it's real alright, just ask anyone thats seen me talk to a cat before. The last sentence is the most true thing you've said(I agree with it completely:) ), except that I KNOW I can talk to cats.

Can you get the word out to cats to stop peeing on the carpets, and marking the furniture. I have had 5-6 cats, 7 dogs, 25 snakes(2 the cat ate), 5 birds, 1 Guinea pig, numerous gerbils and fish. Currently I am completely animal free. Almost 39 years of one animal or another, and now I am free! It may be a while before we get anything else. I still need to replace the carpet, the furniture, and finish painting all the areas that have been damaged. Animals are way expensive. I comparrison, unicycling is cheep.

2 dogs, 1 rabbit, a turtle, 50-100 fish, 150+ birds including 3 parrots, are what I've owned, and not a single cat among them, ironic, huh?
I've been tempted to pee on things I shouldn't before, and I csn probably blame it on my feline side, but alas, I've never thought to use my powers to change cats for the better.

The definitive version of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" was not Nancy Sinatra's, but rather the one performed by the Del Rubio triplets on "Pee Wee's Playhouse".

Pee Wee's Playhouse certainly postdates the 45 second reign of Nancy Sinatra as pop diva in the '60's. The definitive version you describe I believe belongs in the favorite covers thread.

I, too, can communicate with cats to some extent. I have had cats as pets my whole life. We had two manx cats (Kit and Kaboodle) and then Mikey (polydactyl, 7 toes in front, 6 in back) and Simba, and Niles (who we thought male until (s)he became pregnant). I have always had a knack for communicating with animals (cats, birds, small dogs), but I wouldn't call it "talking".
I've been wp'ing manx cats and reading about the Isle of Man for the past 20 minutes (i'm at school), and I think I may have a better idea as to what I may choose as my tattoo at the end of this year...(school trip to CanCun). Not meaning to change the subject of the thread, but I've been thinking about this a lot; a triskerion that somehow incorporates a (or 3) unicycle(s). I also really like the national motto "Quocunque Jeceris Stabit" (latin for:
"Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand").
Now back to the cats. I love 'em. They're soft, cute, intelligent, and they purr so adorably (the purring sound supposedly calms oneself and lowers blood pressure, too).
