Hey all, hope this wasn't mentioned before...
I got OWA a couple weeks ago, watched it on an XP computer, thought it was cool. I stuck it in my parent's DVD player to see what kind of error message it would give me, only to find (gasp, inhale) IT PLAYED PERFECTLY! When I got back to my place I tried it on our DVD player there, and (gasp, inhale) it played on that too! However, my friend Adrian said his player complained about the region being wrong...
My theory: Some DVD players don't care if it's NTSC or PAL, just as a computer doesn't care. They just convert it automagicly. Since OWA wasn't region encoded (or my players/software would have complained) Adrian's player prolly cheats and just says every non-NTSC disc is not the right region.
Oh yeah, and the players that played it were an Apex (cheap Wal-Mart generic brand) and a White Westinghouse (Crappier than the Apex player, rooate picked it because she liked the color).
Anyone else try OWA in their North American players?
Or is this where Dan Heaton comes online and says that he remastered the ones Syko sold? ;)
