they're okay...don't like 'em that much, but I'll eat 'em, because they're good for you, so you can grow big and strong, like popeye. except popeye ate spinach, but same difference.

I like spinache(sp?) but brussel sprouts are not up my alley, I put never tred em cause i didnt know what you were tlaking about at first, but i rememberi had them once a long time ago, and never again, is htat blunt enough....

Cut brussel sprouts in quarters and roast them on a baking tray with lots of garlic, salt, and pepper.
There yummy and one of the most super-vitamin-rich dark green veggies.

Is there a way to cook them to remove some of the bitter taste? I steamed them and smothered them with butter but they tasted awful.

Brussel sprouts are much better than mustard greens. While I still like mustard greens, they are quite bitter.

ProudYankee, sprouts get really bitter after frost damage.

I've tried, I really have, but I just can't eat brussels without retching. Whether it's merely pyschological or whether they really are so hideous as to be automatically rejected by my cleverer-than-me throat I will never know...
