Does anyone "play" Not Pr0n (http://deathball.net/notpron/)? I haven't done it ina long time, but I was only on level 6 or so... It got too hackerish and hard.

Just had a look and i really don't understand that game, how exactly are you meant to play it?

so DK.... i took out the letters dit... and yeah... went to level 3 and 2 and tried to take out the negativeness... went to the home place and took out the negativeity and got a pic of a girl.. is that the nextone?

oooh, level 8 is a FUN one. you need to figure out what the candy bar in the picture is, and type it's name in the url. BUT, not the name you know it by...google it.

heh, no, that's not what it is. look up a morse code alphabet instead of a translator, and translate it yourself.

hmm, got to level 6 ok, and its just getting interesting. However, I've decoded what I think are the username & pass from the clues, and they don't work. They're not real words for a start, but I've used both methods mentioned in the clues and they both give the same answer... Confused...

EDIT: Ah crap, forgot the clue in the login box... Now the words make sense :rolleyes:...

Level 8 gets a bit geeky. It's not straightforward to download the necessary file using IE or Firefox. Gotta use something like wget or httrack. Not the most well known of tools unless you're a geek. What did y'all use to get the file?

you can just modify any old html file to include a link to that, then right click on it and do a save target as. There is probably an easier way, but that was pretty fast.

I just saved the file, then converted it to a .wav and used Windows Sound Recorder to mess with it.

Ah, I had neglected to think of that this time. I've done that before. I just jumped straight to WinHTTrack cause that's what I often use to grab web files.

The HTML source for the web page.

If you're using Firefox go View >> Page Source
If you're using IE go View >> Source

If you've never looked at HTML before it will look strange. But thar be clues in the source for some of the riddles.

If you're not familiar with the basics of HTML you might want to search for a quick little HTML tutorial. Google for something like "beginner html" or "html guide" or something similar. W3 Schools (http://www.w3schools.com/) is one such site but probably not the best for pure introduction to HTML.

Look at comments in the source and basic tags and stuff like that. Comments look like this (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_comment.asp). They're colored green in Firefox.

Oh, and you should also keep a little walkthrough as you solve each page. Put in the URL for each level and the solution and/or password for each level. When you want to go back and start at a level so you can continue where you left off you may need the solution and/or password for the previous level to continue on with the level you're working on. So keep a little cheat sheet for each level.

For level 7, think about what its told you, and use google. A picture of a twix, links to it being old, and the fact something changed in germany. Put the clues together.

You know which file you need?
The URL will start with
http://deathball.net/notpron/stuff/
put the file name at the end of that URL and see if you can get it to download. I had problems with the browser trying to open it inline as a media file instead of downloading it. If you're using IE you might be able to dig it out of the browser cache.

Otherwise write a short web page on your computer that links to the file you want. Open that web page in your browser and then right click on the link to download it. That should get it.

you click somewhere on the picture, and it gives you a place to enter the username and password (don't remember exactly where, if you can't figure it out, I can look it up); you now have both of those. also, don't just post answers in this thread, it takes away the fun for other people to solve it.
