Our own steveyo ended up on the front page of the Life section of the Albany NY Times Union. I always thought I'd see him in a feature they call "Owning It," which relates stories of people and the possession they can't do without (steveyo is the proud owner of a KH 29er.)

But this huge half-page pic heads an article about his pet waste removal service...

Hey man, you're famous!

Sadly, no photo in the online version but here (http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=364920&category=LIFE&newsdate=5/30/2005) it is. Cheers, Steveyo.

Congrats on the free publicity. One thing that many people don't realize about animal waste... especially from domestic animals, is that it provides a great food source for rodents. Cleaning up for these customers is a great service, and helps prevent rat populations from getting out of control, and moving into your customers homes. The primary reason people have rats move in is domestic animals, and bird feeders. One of the first instructions I give to customers with rats and dogs is to clean up the droppings on a regular basis. Otherwise it is just recycled by the rats.

Wow -

Good eye, digigal. Yes, I'm famous now for my poop-scooping business. In fact a local Reuters free-lancer lives in my area and did a story a few weeks ago. If you google my name or "delmar dog butler", you get many copies of the Reuters story in many languages. I think the story was so popular because I was "outsourced", which is all the rage these days.

I was kinda hoping my 15 minutes of fame might be for "First person to unicycle down Mt. Everest."

I think your motto "We sweep you lawn clean guaranteed" should be "We sweep your lawn clean, no sh*t":D

I actually bought such an ad for my business Delmar Dog Butler. I paid the guy and then he called me and refunded my money the next week. The ad was axed due to the restaurant not wanting anything quite so "fecal" on their placemats.

I've been asked to advertise on these many times, and I have never thought it to be a good avenue for bug stuff either. So I always pass. But I would love to have on of those place mats if you go back.:D I think bathroom humor at the dinner table is funny sh!t.

Well, seeing how my ride up Whiteface a week ago just about killed me, I think I'll be training for Everest for a bit longer.
