How is it Joseph Priestley Day? He was born on March 13, 1733. His birthday was last month. We missed it. Is this a belated celebration?

it seems to be more popularly called 'National (http://library.thinkquest.org/2886/apr.htm) Eraser Day (http://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/april.htm)

Ah yes. The first article you linked to does mention the date of April 15th and that he invented the eraser on that day.

I read through the article before posting but that date didn't click.
