I remember seeing bears, probably Russian, riding unicycles as a kid. Searching on the web produces little results on this subject.Do bears ride unicycles or was I dreaming?

I've seen a video of a monkey riding a unicycle. Bears I've seen riding only in cartoons.

That old British video of the monkey riding is absolutely brilliant!

That would take so much patience, teaching a monkey to ride a unicycle, be like teaching a ADD 3 year old.

To the best of my knowledge, the only non-humans that have ridden unicycles have been orangutans and chimpanzees. Not sure if other primates have done it but those are the ones I've seen and read about.
Your bears may have ridden bicycles, but a tricycle is more likely. That's all I've ever seen a bear ride, and that was in the Moscow Circus. Bears are pretty smart, but they have short legs!
So I highly doubt a bear has ever ridden a "real" unicycle. I would not be surprised if you came across written accounts the use the word "unicycle" for something that has two or more wheels. It happens on eBay all the time with who can't count the wheels on penny-farthings. Maybe the little one doesn't count...

That's a great book. The underlying message in there is that one wheel is all you need!
