If you are good at building stuff or making things then you should make things. Like I make tie dye shirts. Another thing is go to like, Costco, or Sams club or some store and buy a 30 pack of candy bars, and sell them for like a buck, or a buck 50. I do it in school all the time, and people buy them. you make a profit if you do it a lot. Egh, your probably looking to make more money. Infest in a stock? bwahahha..thats just silly. Don't do that. Good luck!

No help on money making schemes. Purchasing alchohol for minors is also a bad side job so I won't mention that.

Step 1: Rescue a pet
Step 2: Threaten to eat the pet

Save Toby (http://www.savetoby.com/) All I can say is, WOW!
I'm not a paypal member, but when I clicked his paypal account I got the message that he's no longer receiving donations. They may have already shut him down. And no, I wasn't going to give him money.

Need a spot of extra cash? You could get a second job, run up the credit card, get a loan ... or just say to hell with it, get your mitts on the cutest lil' furry animal you can find and threaten to bump it off unless people send you money. Lots of it.
This is the rather innovative approach taken by the budding US entrepreneur behind the website www.savetoby.com , which alongside a photo of a heart-meltingly cute little fluffy bunny runs the words: "Toby is the cutest little bunny on the planet. Unfortunately, he will DIE on June 30th, 2005, if you don't help ... I am going to eat him.
"I am going to take Toby to a butcher to have him slaughter this cute bunny."
Also included on the site is a comprehensive recipe section (including the likes of "Toby Stew" and "Toby Confit"), which provides cooking instructions alongside pictures of the unsuspecting Toby crouched in casserole dishes and saucepans.
"I don't want to eat Toby, he is my friend, and he has always been the most loving, adorable pet," the anonymous blackmailer assures us.
"However, God as my witness, I will devour this little guy unless I receive $US50,000 into my account from donations or purchase of merchandise."
Yes, that's right, as well as making donations to help save Toby's adorable skin you can buy merchandise including T-shirts and caps from the official savetoby online store.
And it appears there's an awful lot of concerned animal lovers out there - as of yesterday, the balance of the savetoby account stood at $US18,462.12, which is a lot of bunny money.
Guess we'll have to wait and see if it's enough to keep Toby hopping around the place for a while longer.

Pffft, Toby is a rip off of Bernd (http://www.krohm.net/bernd.htm). Bernd has been around for aaages, since the beginning of 2004. Forget Toby, Bernd is the one that needs our help!!
This reminds me of another money making idea I had once: steal people's pets, wait for them to put up flyers saying they'll give a reward if you find their pet, then return it to them.

I'm telling you, Kristine, become a dog butler. Easy money, and you work outside, too! The spring thaw is best time to start as that's when dog owners see how messy their backyards have gotten over the winter.

Dog butler eh... interesting! Is that cleaning poo up off lawns after the snow thaws? This is a posiabilty! My parents use to make me do this to my yard in the spring when our dog was a puppy. How much do you charge for something like this?
My only problem would be that Id be scared to go to someones house alone... cause I'm a big wuss...
Its definatly a possiabilty though

I often charge $40 or $50 for those spring thaw cleanings, and I also have a weekly route (currently with 9 customers) who pay me $10/week to keep their yard clean. I visit their yards once per week, and since I'm there every week, those cleanings take only 5 or 10 minutes.
Like I said in my first post, check out my site:

Like I said also, PM me and I can give you some very useful hints to make it really quick and easy.

I was just having this conversation with my 9 year old a few weeks ago.
It stemmed from an event last summer. He saw some musicians set up outside the Metrodome (where the Minnesota Twins play baseball and the where the Minnesota Vikings sometimes attempt to play Football). They had their instrument cases open for people to throw money into as they played music. He asked if I would take him down there this summer and let him unicycle while people threw money into a bucket. I told him to quit acting like a democrat and get a real job. :D

I was at a fan fest yesterday looking for a unicyclist I knew would be there (Stephen Gratto) so I went up to this paid performer who was juggling and asked his name. He said Steve, so I asked where his unicycle was. He said he didn't ride a uni, should he?
Wrong Steve, obviously, but it made me realize that I could do something this guy couldn't. Maybe I should get better and start doing paid shows.
Off topic, I met the real Stephen Gratto later, who gave a great quote, "Unicycling is not trivial."
(Context of the conversation: you can learn to juggle in 15 minutes, but unicycling usually takes a lot longer.)
Balloon twisting.
Find a restaurant in your area that has a large number of kids (IHOP generally works great for this, if they have any up your way), and tell them that you will make balloon animals for all the kids there. The best part? It doesn't cost the restaurant anything, because you just work for tips. I do this on Saturdays, and make between $15 and $30 an hour.
edit: This is also a great way to get balloon twisting gigs, where people pay between $50 and $100/ hr for you to show up and make balloon animals for whatever festival is going on.
All ya gotta do is learn how to make balloon animals.

I make more democrat jokes than most, but I don't do it to 9 year olds. They won't get the sarcasm and instead will just grow up with a stigma towards democrats. Oh, wait, what's wrong with that?
My advice is to get a job. I did it, and in contrast to just about every teenage job ever heard of, I actually enjoy doing mine, and it actually involves an employable skill.

Back when I was in school, I made a bunch of $$$ painting house numbers on curbs. We only worked 3 or 4 hours a day. Whenever we wanted (but always two days in a row)
We had a little flyer that said, in a very nicely written and wordy way, Ambulance drivers hate it when they cant find your house number. Firetrucks too. But regular folks need to find your house too. At the bottom of the sheet was some lines for Name, Address, Phone.
Step one: we drove through a neighborhood and stuck our pink (easy for us to see later) flyers to mailboxes. (We understood its against fed law to use the inside of a mailbox for anything but US mail). Folk would get it that night and fill out the bottom and they were instructed to stick it to their front door because we'd be coming thru the neighborhood "tomorrow".
Step two: Drive thru that neighborhood "tomorrow". (We had two people) One goes and gets the flyer off the door and knocks and tries to collect $$. (we charged 5$, that was in 1975)($10 today, I'm certain). The other paints a Hunter Green rectangle on the curb (the background). Off we go to the next house. We'd do this thru the entire neighborhood.
Step three: Drive back thru same neighborhood starting with that first house. (You have its Name and Address on their flyer, remember?) One person goes to the door and tries to collect $$. The other assembles the numbers stencil and sprays bright white numbers on the now dry Hunter Green Background. We also sprinkled little glass beads into the wet numbers to aid in reflection at night. (I can't remember where we got those tiny beads, almost like dust)(You could do without them, nice touch tho). Off to the next house in the list.
Step four: Pick the next neighborhood and repeat step One.
Materials: Flyers (we designed ours so 2 would fit on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet, thus cutting that expense in half). Masking tape to stick flyers to Mailboxes. Gallon Hunter Green exterior paint. Brushes. White spray paint. Glass beads or glitter (optional).
Advice: Its hard to keep the paint off the car. It invariably gets on your finger or pants or something and transfers to the car. Figure some method to keep things neat. Also, the wording of the flyer is important. Don't scare people. Go talk to a fireman. Get a quotation. Ambulance drivers we talked to said "its a fantastic idea."
Two idiots in the 70s made $100 each per day!!!! Cash money. And that was charging $5. Heck, I'm planning on doing this again if I ever get "downsized"

I DO have a job. I work part time (about 3 shifts a week) at Carlton Cards, as a cashiere/shelf stocker/display maker/personal gift wraper/anything else one could do. I would get more shifts there, except they dont have more to give out. And, as you also said, I too enjoy my job so much, that I dont want to leave it to find another that could give me more hours. The people are great, and its the best job Ive ever had...considering I've spent the past 3 summers working at a landscaping company, doing a job that was very physically stressful. Then.... spent the last school year cleaning the campus on the grounds crew. Yeah, picking up the garbage. So, its the best job Ive found I dont want to leave it. I am also a full time University student...which is a job in its self.
If you actually read the first post made in theis thread I do state that I already have a part time job and am a university student.

Kristine,
When I was a boy living in Ohio, we would go out into the yard and nearby fields at nighttime with flashlights and catch nightcrawlers, then sold the crawlers to bait shops. It made a little money but was more fun than anything. On a good night, several times we'd see two crawlers mating on top of the ground, each halfway out of it's hole, and make a two-fer grab. We always used flashlights with red lenses. Someone told us that the crawlers couldn't sense red filtered light but I'm not sure it made any difference.
An industrious person could also develop a small worm farm. There are even worm farm starter kits available. Bait shops pay good money for particular types of worms. But it would probably be courteous to ask your roommate first whether or not she would mind if you covered your dorm room with worm beds.
