Total Bummer--a great man and a great artist.
One of the very few 87 year olds who was truly a young man till the day he died (still making films--he passed away while working on a new film--we should all be so lucky--we should all live life to the fullest as this gentleman did)
I had the priviledge of hearing a live interview with him on Air America just a couple of months ago--he was talking to Chuck D no less--and every word was a gem, an inspiration....
I know he was old, he was lucky to live to be so old. Still, I can't help but think, what a loss...
