free music download sites?

hi, i saw a couple days ago there was a thread for music dowlaod programs :) . the only things is my comp will not let file sharers work for some reason :( . so i was wondering if anybody know of any sites that i can download the music right off it :confused: . also it has to be free please :)

One thing you can try is this: go to altavista.com and type in the name of the song and the artist. then click mp3/audio. It sometimes will link you to a site where you can download it, but it's not quite as reliable as an actual file-sharing program.

Get Winmx, or Limwire, and just choose not to share any files, That way there shouldn't be a firewall conflict. Normally I would reccomend a BT but all of the good ones are dead now, so...
