I'm a fan of just about everything. The weirdest might have been an oyster I ate at a local restaurant's oyster festival. Local growers brought in their samples. These were giant Puget Sound oysters, about as big as a liver. I ate one raw with no coctail sauce or lemon. That particular grower was having a contest. Someone ate seven of these things and won a coat. This oyster, when shucked, hung out of both sides of my hand. I have big hands, too.
Chicken feet at dim-sum is pretty odd. They're pretty good, too. I've had an Ethiopian stew that was entirely sheep entrails that was excellent. Numerous other things. Rock cod eyes, whole tempura herring (the whole fish, as is), spiced jellyfish, the list goes on and on.

I don't eat very weird things.... I do like pizza with ranch dressing. And carrots with ketchup. And everything -- everything -- with peanut butter.

I once had alligator soup...it wasn't all that bad. Shark is alright as well.
The one thing I cannot stand is squid sushi...other sushi is fine (like fish sushi), just the texture of squid makes me sick.
spiced jellyfish
Was it cooked at all? (although I can't think of how to cook a jellyfish...erm...correctly)
edit- Mahi-Mahi is also very good (it is a form of dolphin...I think it means "strong-strong" in hawiian). It tastes very sweet.

I don't think writing a new post stating that is really going to help your efforts :p

Mahi mahi is NOT a type of dolphin. It is sometimes called the dolphin fish, though. It's also one of my personal favorite fish to eat.
Back on subject, I really like poi. Have any of you tried it?

I grew up eating poi(with 2 fingers), and spam (musibi's). I also eat alot of Li Hing Mui, a powder that is made from dehydrated prunes and then salted. Its ridiculously good. I also eat tons of rice, and in every from, Riceballs, ricecakes, rice pudding, ricebuttered, rice, mochi(sweet rice paste cakes), buddamochi, and basically anything else to do with rice. Pickles are good too, I especially enjoy the juice. One time I ate an entire 1 gallon jar of Dill pickles, juice and all. Mmmmmmmm butter pickles are good too.

Jellyfish is usually blanched like octopus. It's boiled very quickly; a few seconds.
Turtle soup is good as well as frog's legs. I've had a turtle stew that was some of the nastiest stuff I've ever eaten, though. Moon snails are bad, too, as well as cockels.
I've eaten a live rock crab before by swallowing it whole on a dare. Don't do it. They try to crawl back up your throat as you swallow.
I have to disagree with Daino and Catboy on poi. I think it's pretty bland stuff.

Awesome I do that all the time. The hot pepper rings are good too and the juice but not as good at pickles. I also enjoy ketchup.

Frogs legs fried in batter at a chinese restaurant in Paris. very nice indeed! Unfortunately I've never seen it on the menu anywhere since.
chocolate worms are quite nice, but bland - not as bland as poi though...
i've been to a restaurant in Muldersdrift that specialises in a variety of game dishes
the restaurant is called Carnivours (this was not during any one of my vegetarian periods)
there we ate Gemsbok, Kudu and Crocodile meat
i've eaten a Mopani worm, many years ago
the very thought of it REALLY freaks me out at the moment
and it was dead and deep fried, not even like it was crawling or anything
bbllleeeaaauuugghh!
i don't know what i was thinking
i've also eaten the worm in the bottom of a tequila bottle
i can't remember what i was thinking

Yes I know they're not fish, but they live in the water. And they sometimes protect humans in trouble, such as from sharks. Don't eat them, and avoid doing business with companies that allow dolphins to be killed in production of their products.
I really like poi. Have any of you tried it? Once. (Old Lahaina Luau). We went there again this year. I skipped the poi.
But otherwise-normal people in different parts of the world eat lots of gross things. In this country, oatmeal and coffee. Yuck.
Don't like squid sushi? That must be why the Japanese name for it is "Ika." Close enough to "Icky." I'm also not much of a fan of Taco (octopus), but Beau Hoover loves it. or especially Uni (sea urchin), even though I had to go for some "uni on the half-shell" at a nice sushi place I went to with Jack Hughes in Japan. Oops, I thought I had the pictures online but apparently I don't! Only the Unicon ones.
Stuff I've eaten:
Bear, alligator, ants, ostrich, buffalo
Singapore:
Durain, star fruit
China:
Snake, snake blood, snake bile, jellyfish, dog
Japan:
Hundred-year-old egg, a baked potato with nothing but chopsticks, and ??? (meat parts of an unknown nature) at a yakitori place during Unicon. That goes with some other pictures I need to upload...
That's what I can think of at the moment.
I could probably eat a pound of chicken hearts in one sitting...!!!!! :D

Has anyone ever tried a Twinkie Wiener Sandwich? Watch UHF (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098546/), and you'll know what I'm talking about.
Can't say that I actually enjoy them, except in the same way I enjoy really bad 1950's films.

Speaking of movie-foods, who's ever tried making grilled cheese, Benny & Joon style? AKA by using an iron on them? I've always wanted to, but have never have so far....
Also from Benny & Joon are mashed potatoes made with a tennis racket, and of course Joon's milkshake, made solely of Cap'n Crunch, peanut butter, and milk.
Next time I have some Cap'n Crunch with me, I'm going to try that one.

I like cream cheese, and can eat it plain. I eat scrapple, which covers a variety of things, usually with syrup, so I guess I drink trees. I used to put honey on my mashed potatoes, not too gross, and one time I put ketchup on a snickers, that was good. I eat out for lunch a lot, from minute markets and various fast food restaurants, so i'd say thats kinda gross, but packing lunch has elluded me so far.

It's not really that strange but I eat fried peanutbutter, banana, and honey sandwiches on almost a daily basis. They are the epitome of tasty.

Years ago I worked with a family at their dog kennels in France, and spent a great evening with an 11 year old French boy catching frogs using a torch. Shine it in their eyes and they freeze, then just hook them up in a net. Took around a dozen back home in a keep net, then next morning the lad held them by their legs, smacked their heads on his knee, then after cutting off legs and feet "took off their pyjamas"!
Lightly fried in batter and they were great. Need a lot for a decent meal though;)
Bird's nest soup was very disappointing - like hot salt water.

Here is our Yakitori from one night's dinner at Unicon XII. We found a restaurant near the dorms where nobody spoke any English, then ordered at random. I think the base ingredient here is chicken, but not 100% sure. The big question is, what *parts* of the chicken were we chowing on?
My platefull:

I've eaten rattlesnake, grilled over the coals. Not bad at all. Mild white meat. Scarey part was killing it without getting bit. Did it with a pocket knife.

Well, it's peanut butter, so it must be good. Peanut butter is good on everything. everything.

DUDE! I LOVE MOCHI TOO! I have a fetish with JELLO! I'm pretty sure JELLO runs under the weird category. Did you know that JELLO was originated from a cough medicine?

In Sweden a lot of people likes "surströmming". It's fish that stinks a lot. I'm never going to eat it....
