I could use a good piece of meat right now.
I'm hungry.
But this is for Friday. I've got guests coming over. Living in Harrisonburg, it's not that common to see stuff like this, so when I saw a pound of alligator tail for sale, I had to buy it.
But I don't have a clue how to prepare it or cook it.
Any advice?

Sweet...that recipie looks better than the one I found! I think I'll use that one.
I've never had alligator before.
I've had most everything else, though...
Squirrel, rabbit, deer, frog legs, rattlesnake, shark, squid and octopus (each many, many times), baby octopi, a calf's brain, cow tongue, cow stomach, and a bunch of other stuff

How about capybara? (http://www.rebsig.com/capybara/) It's like a cross between pork and fish, only stronger flavor.
It's my only claim to fame.
edit: Capybaras are the world's largest rodent. Or if you prefer, they are ROUS's (from The Princess Bride)
