with my ear so close to the ground, i've developed this 'orrible pain in my lower back
i also realised that a lot of people seem to take umbrage at my use of the uniquely internet slang spelling of the word 'cool' (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30140)
it's a habit that, like smoking, i find very difficult to stop
in the interest of forumnal harmony, i'm willing to make the effort if that is the majority decision

so, please vote, explain your vote and make sure the log is out your eye b4 u do
;)

ps. i'm going thru a 'post a poll' phase
it should wear off shortly
bear with me

I need to hear you saying the word "cool" before I make up my mind. With your funny accent your normal pronunciation of the word "cool" could in fact be "kewl".

In fact, I think you should dictate all of your posts from now on and just post links to MP3 files for the contents of your post.

How about your web space here at gild.unicyclist.com?

Use FTP to upload a file to the "web" directory for your account. You could link to that file as htttp://gild.unicyclist.com/file1.mp3
No need to create an HTML page with links for the downloads, but you could if you want.

As one of the few people on this board ever to have spoken to Dave face to face I can indeed confirm that his "normal" conversation is peppered with "kewl" and "u".

If it is such an annoyance, might I suggest that you organise a collection and purchase him a Coker. Then he'll be so busy out practicing for the 94.7 (girlfriend permitting );) that he won't have enough energy left to post..

I really have no issue with it, it just comes off as a post written by an eight year old girl

Keep the "kewl"! It is as much a part of your forum persona as... erm... a thing that is a very large part of your forum persona.

If the entire contents of your posts were unintelligible gibberish they would be hideous, but as you use just these two sprinkled in amongst a perfectly intelligent post style they are perfectly readable and it's obvious you're not just being lazy.

It's like a "GILD Trademark"... :)

Well, if Phil thinks it's ok, I can't really argue.

GILD, I will, from this point on, grant permission for you to use those spellings, and I accept your apology for using them without it
