TinyURL links in the newsgroup are sometimes truncated. They are not resolving to the complete URL that was posted in the web forum.
For example, if you look at GILD's post in the Landsurfing vs Coasting? (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29856) thread in the newsgroup. The TinyURL link in GILD's post does not resolve to the complete URL that GILD posted in the web forum.
