login problem

Trying to find a way around my 'history' problems (see http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28734 ), I created a second account with username fidget. This is leading to a few new problems...

1a. I log in as fidget, and the home page (http://www.unicyclist.com/) says "Logged in as fidget", BUT, when I click forums (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/) it says "Welcome back, duaner".

1b. I am currently logged in as fidget, but this "Post New Thread" page also says "Logged in user: duaner"

2. Trying to update fidget's member options, I get this error message when I click "Update Account!" I get the following error:

Fatal error: Failed opening required '/home/sites/site3/web/gallery/classes/UserDBhard.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/vhosts/unicyclist.com/htdocs/members/index.php on line 298

and now I can't get in (to the forums) as duaner, only as fidget - even though I logged in the home page as duaner.

re 1a and 1b above:
I (finally) discovered that the forums-home has a logout function. Apparently the user logged into http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/ and the one logged into http://www.unicyclist.com/ are not (necessarily) the same. I did not know this before.

re 2 above: this problem still exists.
