You know, when you let the air out of a tyre that's been inflated for a while...

...why does it always smell of tuna?

This smell is given off by a compound coated on the inside of the inner tube. The odour is to give advance warning of punctures, in the same way that natural gas (odourless methane) has a nasty smell added to it to warn of gas leaks.

So you're riding along, you smell the tuna, you need to fix your tube. I thought everyone knew that.

Given I had my back to a window on the first floor, that's pretty impressive sneaking! It is a good job you are a force of good rather than evil, or who knows what would happen.

Just in case you have returned to your native soil you may want to jump back on a plane, as I've just remembered I need to do the tyre again because some muppet forgot to put any rim tape on. Tch... some people. You want something doing right, you've got to give it to somebody else!

Now there's an idea... tyres that smell of bacon... :)

Actually scratch that, I'd be riding over thorns and broken glass all the time just to get punctures to fix...
