Our club is looking for a place to host our "soon to be" website and would like host it here to help support the unicyclist.com. We are PHP/MySql junkies and you offer most of the features we are looking for. Here are some that aren't listed that we were wondering about.
Email address redirects for our domain ex blah@clubdomain.com --> blah@userdomain.com
Hosting club mailing lists using "mailman" or the ability to have private club forum posts forwarded to email.
My other question is about user accounts on unicyclist.com:
Is it just me having problems trying to forward my unicyclist.com email to another address?
Cookies don't seem to be working to remember me when I come back to unicyclist.com. Is that on my end or a problem for all.
thanks for any help,
matt

Yes, we have email forwarding. This server is a cobalt raq3, so there is a pretty nice control panel to configure everything at including the email accounts and forwarding.
For the mailing list, the server has majordomo.
I think the remember me feature on unicyclist.com is broken and is a bug I need to fix. (it's seems like a lot of the integration between the apps on the unicyclist.com site have fallen apart and need fixing).
For the email forwarding, the last I knew it was updating correctly. It wil not forward mail that exists in the inbox on the server but will foward new mail. I'll have to test it out to see if it still works properly.

The cookies are sometimes problematic. Sometimes the site remembers me and other times I have to type in my user name and password.
unicyclist.com does seem to rely on a cookie from qksrv.net. If you have cookie blocking or privacy tools enabled you may have to give explicit permission to qksrv.net to store a cookie. If you have a custom hosts file to block advertising sites you may have to remove qksrv.net from the hosts file.

Actually, qksrv.net has nothing to do with unicyclist.com and logging in. That is just the link at the bottom of the paeg for the forum software which is an affilaite link. A little 1x1 pixel image is downloaded for tracking purposes (which I will remove right now).

I've tested the forwarding with several different accounts and can't seem to get the forwarding working. It would be great to read in my regular account so any help with this would be appreciated. Also, my friend who registered a URL, ucsb.unicyclist.com, forgot the password and the reset password did not forward to his account so we're assuming its not working for him either.
As far as the cookies go...the forums remember but not the main page for email and account settings. Since the forums remember me its not so bad just wanted to let you know.
thanks again,
matt

I had qksrv.net in my restricted sites list (along with a bunch of other advertising and tracking sites) and while it was blocked I was not able to get unicyclist.com to remember my login for the forums. When I removed qksrv.net from my restricted sites list the forum remembered my login more reliably. It must have been a strange coincidence. Very odd. I'll go back to blocking qksrv.net and see what happens.
