View Full Version : ...At least I could say, "I have lived"
All good things must come to an end, but I am satisfied. Maybe it will happen again; maybe it won't. Either way, having it happen once is satisfying enough. One more target achieved in the great archery contest of life.
I am truly honoured to have had a quote of mine in Greg Harper's signature.

You ended up with the unicycle, didn't you?
I liked that uni-tasking quote but I needed to try out the spectrum shift dealie so I dumped it. No reflection on you, of course. The Lego men told me it would be OK. They were wearing the hoods of cars as hats of all things.

Have no fear Phil. Even though Greg changed his sig the old one with your quote will continue to live on in the newgroup archives at Google.

Greg really should give Roy G Biv proper credit for the BLUESHIFT quote he is now using. It's a shame that Greg is now stealing quotes and not giving credit to the original author.

I have also been quoted in signature by Greg of Harper.

Roy Biv (middle name Green) was a hack. I used to beat him in left-handed bowling contests all of the time. The guy couldn't hold his root beer. He's confused about the origin of the frequency-wavelength relationship. He used to run red lights all the time believing that if he went fast enough they would turn green. He thought the rainbow had flavors.

Remember? (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=105591#post105591)
I was honored (no "u") one step removed.

I knew Mr. Biv was a colorful character, but I didn't know he was so confused about the physics of light. If he was such a hack why did my physics instructors keep talking about him?

Indeed it was. Without you all this would not have been possible... *sniff*...

Phil,
Thank you for the recognition. In the future, could you please correct my spelling mistakes when quoting me? I have an extra "o". It is quite embarrassing, and having it repeated makes it even worse.
Thank you.

Erm... err...
My brain was evidently not working at full capacity when I did that. I think I skimmed over the quote when I was posting it, read it as "it was me who said that quotable quote, too" and stuck the extra "o" on... sorry...
I'll go back to not trying to pretend I'm cleverer* than I actually am...
Phil
* If I were cleverer, I'd not use such a horrid sounding (and wrong?) word as "cleverer"...

I just scrolled up to my original post. I didn't realize until now that YOU put the extra "o" in. Apparently there was some confusion, but thank you anyway for attempting to spare me the embarrassment of a spelling mistake. I really appreciate it. That was very nice and very thoughtful. But in the future, could you please refrain from attempts at correcting my speling? Thank you.

because in a past incarnation he was a traffic officer and had recurring nightmares?
