I triple-clicked the Submit button, but only got one. Searching for an answer to the triple-TP post mystery.

Phil is is innocent. He's using an ellipsis rather than three periods…

It looks like an ellipsis, and Phil may have meant it as an ellipsis but I think he generated it by hitting the 'period' key three times. Microsoft Word recognises an ellipsis as a single character and you cannot selected any one of the tree dots of such an ellipsis. In Phil's post I could do that. Now it's a philosophical matter to decide when three dots or periods are an ellipsis.

Oh oh…
Well, I'm using real ellipses. Looks like Phil is indeed guilty. For punishment I say we should put him in an elliptical room and tell him to stand in the corner.
How am I supposed to play the straight man and stir up trouble with Klaas around?

It's a fair cop, guv. I am being forced to use three periods as, being the complete computer numpty that I am, I can't find the damn ellipsis key!
Right, I'm standing in the corner. Now what? :)

Now what?
1. Move up three posts to find John Childs' message.
2. Locate the ellipsis.
3. Select it using your mouse.
4. Hit CTRL-C.
5. Go to the other corner of the room or wherever you want to have your new ellipsis.
6. Hit CTRL-V and hey presto! An ellipsis all of your own!
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 if you want several ellipses (ellipsisses?).

I have an ellipsis on my keyboard. :)
Assuming you're using Windows, ALT+0133 will create an "…" character. You have to type the 0133 on the num pad.
It's probably best not to use the elippsis in the RSU forum because I'm not sure what would happen when that character is sent over to the newsgroup and mailing list. It might not be encoded the way it looks in the forum.

Erm. Or I could just use '...' which looks pretty darn close, and takes fewer keystrokes…?
Right, I'm now in the other corner of this particular elliptical shaped room. Now where?

Now you write a math theorem and proof explaining how you managed to find a corner in an ellipse.

You guys are both wrong in order to get the … you need to go into your registry and just delete everything that you see after that you go and type the letter r 12 times followed by a refresing tab, mmm only 1 cal. I think the last step is to use your uni to beat old lady's (preferably over 85) with and then your all done…
