Search?

When one searches the forums, a list of threads is presented that match the search query. Unfortunately, clicking on the link for the thread brings us to the first page of the thread, and for multi-page threads, the search (usually) isn't on the first page. There does not seem to be any good navigation to go the actual page that matched the query. Thus, I'm requesting a modification to the search query results that will take you directly to the page (or even the post) that matches your query. This would be awesome.

If there's more than one matching for a particular thread, perhaps a list of posts that match the query for that thread would be displayed.

If you look below the search box there is an option to display just posts with the search terms in, rather than the entire thread. You can get to the entire thread from the post easily.

The forums run on vBulletin, which is a commercial program (I think?) so a modification might take a long time...

Oh, I did miss that. Yes, that's what I was looking for. Forget my entire post altogether.
