Those who know binary, and those who don't.
Which are you?
Now that's really rather spooky. I feel almost like the star of a Truman Show-like thing now. You say there are only ten people in the world? You mean they were lying when they said it was about six billion or so?
Today I have been to campus and back twice; I saw loads of people. Does this mean to say all of them were just nine people? They would go past, quickly change clothes and hairstyles, and go past me again?
What about on the telly? There has just been a person on the news with really weird looking hair. Surely I'd have noticed that when I saw them?
Does this also mean that you lot (well, I say 'lot', as there are only nine of you... you must post a lot!) are in York, too? When you have time to do any unicycling, if you're so busy trying to make the world look populated to me?
But what really gets my goat is that this means you, yes, you unicyclists, have been walking past me and saying "you've lost a wheel". Really... I'd expected better from you.

How do you know that you're not another person when you're asleep, and causing the same kinds of influence to others? You only ~think~ that you can see crowds of people, but it's really the speed of light playing tricks with your mind.
Or we could all be in a computer.. a-la the Matrix or the Thirteenth Floor. There's really only 10 people in the world, and perhaps you're lucky enough not to be a computer simulation. Actually, I really liked the 13th floor.
And to clarify, I was missing 'types of' in my subject line. Thus, the statement would read as follows:
There are 10 types of people in this world: those who know binary, and those who don't.
Which brings me to a joke:
Q: How many programmers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: None! It's a hardware problem!
You may be on to something. "Dreams are just your subconscious going over things"... yeah right. That's what they want us to believe! It's all a huge cover up! Aaargh!
Up the Revolution!

You're misreading it Phil. It doesn't say ten, it says 10. How many that is depends on the base. Onefluffybunny counts in the sixmilliardimal number system.

Phew! Thank goodness for that... ever since that was posted I've been reduced to a nervous wreck. Who could I trust? Was everything I knew a lie? Everyone I trusted a fraud? It was hell!
