View Full Version : Great Avatar

Hey Guys,
I'm no computer guy, but I just figured out how get an "avatar" after many days of searching for a suitable one (which there were many of) which had less than 60 x 60 pixels (there weren't many good ones with this specificatio) and on top of that, they had to be "JPG" or "gif" fomat. But I finally found this one of Homer Simpson; the ultimate parody of the American man. Now, who could honestly say that this is not a great avatar?
I'm just starting this thread for you all to compliment my hard work of searching for so long, by simply complimenting my wonderful new avatar. I did actually find one of Krusty the Clown unicycling and juggling, but it didn't meet computer specifications (DARN!). This was the next best one (that actually worked).
Please feel free to gaze in awe of my great avatar and compliment it as much as you feel is necessary. ;)

Nice find......

Avatars can be resized.

Post that Crusty the Clown and someone will resize it for you, (and us to steal). ;)

Not to rain on your parade, but overly animated avatars can be a bit distracting while reading the forum. I prefer avatars with either minimal and discrete animation or no animation at all.

That is a way cool avatar. John Childs is a stick-in-the-mud. Really, on MUni rides he sticks in the mud.

I wish Homer would have been my high school ethics teacher.

Animated avitars are for cuckoos.

What's really strange about the Homer avatar is that the one on the post is going at a different speed to the one on the side. Woooooo... I can't help staring...

Is that a Stick in The Mud or a Lawn Dart Landing? That's the crutch he was able to cast aside, having taken up unicycling.

John's avatar is animated; it's tiny little bubbles of warm beer breath - can't you see them?

By the way, once you get an avatar, where do you put it in your Control Page?

On the "Edit Options" page of the "User cp", there's a bit about your avatar down at the bottom. Click "Change Avatar" and it'll let you upload one...

Phil

Bah! He beat me to it. I was robbed, I tells ya...

Optical illusion Phil. They're only out of phase. (Which may be strange in itself.) If you reload the page the two Homers pick another random phase difference.

What about my avatar? Few people have complimented me on it, and thank you to those who cared to.

I think MY avatar is cooler than any other one. You got beef? I'll mess you up.

I'm so honoured. Thank you Jagur. Most people would have just left at this point but that's the difference between unicyclist.com and the rest of the world.

May the toilet live long and prosper.

hey you guys,
Iam so proud of myself for starting his semi-long thread. Although most of the replies consisted of you all arguing about who had a better avatar, when you should have been complimenting mine, as that was the reason this thread was started. But, it's all good. Long live Homer Jay Simpson!

Hey Neshan, you're the one who finally got me up off my butt (hmmm) to make one of these silly things. Your avatar is the coolest.

I'm sorry, I'd reply to this thread properly but I'm still trying to come to terms with the presence of the "flush" joke. I don't think I can take it any more...

Thank you "U-turn" for your compliment (although I couldn't help but notice your small and easy-to-miss coment underneath, but its all good. Everyone should have an avatar that they think is above all others.
As for you "Jagur" ... shut up, or I'm gonna tell your Mommy on you!!! Boohoohoo! Are you happy?... you made me cry. jkjk :)
