Dear Gilby,
I don't know if you are aware, but it has been, "brought to my attention" that these forums are getting too mean and too offensive. Posts are often filled with comments from people that mock others simply because they spelled a word wrong. All I want is a nice place like this to talk about unicycling.
I don't want to discourage anyone from using these forums, and I believe you're doing an excellent job as administrator, but I would suggest a stricter policy on post content. While I can't tell people that maybe their swearing is offensive to some, I would suggest that either a more strict screening policy or censoring of posts should take place.
I know that what is offensive to one is the funniest thing someone else has ever heard and they would go tell all their friends. However, I believe that maybe some additional rules could be added to stop this.
For example, I read a post today that had a random reply in the middle by "Maatha Stoooert" (--??) or somesuch person who had no intention in the post to do any else than to mock and discourage. This, I feel, is opposite of what this place is for.
I will not name any other names and I cannot say specifically what could be done or what I beleive should happen, but I do think that there shoud be a refocusing on the simple fun of unicycling.
It is not all bad, and there are many who I would consider friends, but there is, in general too much bad feeling toward others.
Thank you for the great site and the great service you provide, Gilby, and Thank you for maintaining a good place to talk about unicycling with other unicyclists around the world.
