Wow it is great to find this forum. Usually I just read rec.sport.unicycling and that is good fun but lately I was wanting a little more discussion to read while I get over the flu. Yuck, I got sick last week and though I did ride my uni the past three days I just don't have my usual spunk. So hopping and practicing my idling have come to a bit of a stop for now.
That's too bad because I am actually totally addicted to unicycling since I learned to ride in July. Hardly a day goes by that I don't ride. I ride my 24 inch SemXL on the 8 km round trip to work during the week and on the weekends I do some beginner level trials stuff near where I live here in Vancouver Canada.
A few weeks ago we did some easy MUni stuff and I am so hopeing that my skills will improve to the level where I can justify getting the new 24 inch KH MUni. Right now the Sem is fine for my level of riding but who knows in a couple of months!!
I can't quite hop onto sidewalks from the road yet and I can't quite idle more than one half revolution forward and then back but both these skills are getting there and as soon as I have my energy levels back I think it will only be a couple more weeks till I am hopping onto curbs and starting to do a few unassisted idles. Yay, that will be great. I am also hopeing to be able to ride down a couple of stairs some time soon..... ah, so many basics to learn.
Well, enough rambling for now..... when ya can't ride you might as well talk! LOL
Cheers,
Erin:D
