Yeah, Sendhair, where have you gone! :(

I am sad now, no witty and informative posts from the unicycling bald guy in japan (no disrespect intended).

Why arent you here anymore. Is it because of that little cuffufle you had with Rhysling?

COME BACK :o

I so loved his posts.

Youd think after so many great things said about him he would want to write something....

Funny, and I know many of you will accuse me of exaggeration, but this petty schoolyard taunting eventually grows up. What it usually grows up into are witch hunts such as those of 17th century Salem, Massachusetts and 1950s McCarthyite America.

And for the record, I doubt very much that Rick is behind Maatha Stooert. He may have been pissed off, but I doubt very much he would aim to be disruptive just for the sake of disruption. Having exchanged a few emails with him I can claim, if only slightly, to know him a bit better than his taunters here, and strongly suspect that he would not stoop to the antics of whoever is behind Maatha.

I meant because Jagur took Sendhair's avatar and so it looked like Sendhair. I did not mean that Maatha is Sendhair.

...but maartha is getting very annoying.

Naaahhh- just cluelessness, in this case. We really do want him to come back.

One more lecture from the Jugglemiester, though, and we may have to vote you off the island. Ah, BICYCLES! It's Lord of the Flies time! Hand over the Conch, JJ -it's time for me to be holyer than cow...

Jagur, you have my apologies.

I disagree that there is no taunting here, and I do believe that the best way to get Rick to return is to quietly wait for him to decide when that will be, but...

I truly have no reason to and do not doubt your own sincerity.

Some of you, then, have a peculiar way of showing it.

Do you have some special privileges on this group that I don't know about that entitles you to make this threat? Most folks just use their killfile or ignore list when they don't want to read a particular individuals posts.

I think what should really concern you was the threat to be 'holyer than cow'... but it's not my buisness to tell you how to deport (heh) yourself.
Mooooooooo. Moooo.
Moo.
(the worst part is tasting the verbal cud, as it makes it's way back up. How do you stand it?)

JJ,

I just read all 161 of your posts; the propensity of them relate to cycling question, cycling information, or encouraging others. The few deversions into politics or social retoric are, by and large, well intended.

With this in mind, I'm retracting the Moooooing. Naturaly, my bovine ire is raised when verasity chalanged. You might be well served to keep in mind this sage advice:

That we exchange ideas and comments here on RSU does not mean that we know each other... Therefore it is dangerous to make assumptions about what someone is like or intends based on comments on an internet based forum.

The sentiment is what is important here (tread lightly), rather than the truth of the particulars (or position of self assured moral athority). That you would read a series of posts, interpret what you find, and react to right a perceived injustice is laudable; that your conclusions were erronious and might give offence is forgiveable.

So, parden me then my braying.

Thanks, Christopher. You have more patience than I do. I suspect that of late your conclusion is not true, but I'm glad to know that it holds over the long haul.

Pardon granted.

While this is winding down, so it seems, and one of us will have to grant the other the last word, sadly, I've not reached that point yet. I think I have adhered to the spirit of the words you quote above. My original comment about the "taunting", you may observe, was not directed at any individual who participated in this thread, but rather at the whole tone of the thread. If my conclusions are erroneous that has not been demonstrated to me to my satisfaction and my honest perception of it was that it had taken on the look of a mob. If its true intent was to bring about Rick's return to participating in the forum, then it was certain to fail.

Wouldn’t it be fun to know whose ignore list you’re on (if any). Mine is blank but if you’re not reading this then I’m on yours ;)

PREPOSTEROUS. Inflammatory accusations of this most egregious kind are merely indicative of your predilection for rhetorical prestidigitation and in no way reflect or are otherwise prototypical of utterances heretofore enunciated on this or any other forum by Greg or myself. In short sir, I gainsay the exactitude of your contention.

I'm here and I'm fine, just been extremely busy both in work and home life. I'm trying to at least get on RSU at least once a day but don't often have time to respond with much.

Hunting season will be a relief when it arrives. Sitting in the beautiful woods, not a care in the world...ah, the good life!

When I came here at first I remember seeing his name. Stood out. Seemed somewhat of a nice guy. I hope he's okay. If you here. Leave little hints... and you're correct, it did get bigger. Hmm... leaving an unknown presence.
