Another holiday special there is a 19" trials wheel for $99. How good is that?
Pretty good, at that price you won't go wrong. But not super duper.

"Hardly used" they say. Price dropped from $700 to a mere $610 today.
Wouldn't that look nice under (or next to) your Christmas tree?

I've already made an offer on it, but I asked for a deep discount over their asking price and didn't hear back.

Lol, I'd nearly forgotten about that uni.

If you want to contact that guy you'll probably need to call him on the phone. But first read what I have to say about it.

It has been up for sale for a while. I talked to the owner on the phone and he said that wouldn't sell it for any less then 450$. I went and looked at it a few months ago thinking that if it was in good shape I'd buy. I gave it a close inspection and IMO it's a very bad deal. I was hoping it would have maguras on it because the listing says it has a brake. It has a cheep rim brake that looks like it was pulled off some little kid's bike. It has a pretty nasty coker button tread tire that is cracking a bit and an rusty old steel rim. The saddle cover is weirdly loose. It does have a handle but it's the older T7 kind that is prone to breaking. Overall it looked to me like it had been poorly taken care of and possibly put together from more then one uni (how else could a nasty steel rim have gotten on a nimbus uni). At that price I'd much rather buy a new coker or titan for about the same amount of money. But the worst part is that after I looked at it when I attempted to politely tell the man I didn't want it he got super angry, loudly proclaimed that it was worth every bit of 500$ and stomped off into his house without saying anything else. So the only other unicyclist (outside of my family) that I've ever met was very rude. My day was pretty much ruined after that .

                  • That's funny. Hard to say what my $325 offer did to his blood pressure then. Thanks for the backstory...sounds like it could be more of a $250 fixer-upper.

                      • It sounds like he should have sold that uni at least 5 years ago. The Nightrider was still the flagship Nimbus frame. You could still buy a t7. BMX caliper brakes were not uncommon on larger wheel uni's.

A couple years before that the steel rims were only being replaced by the Airfoil.

My guess is that the owner is just out of touch with the current uni market. A lot has changed in a few years. The Titan is a better uni and only $450 new!

It's sitting at a pawn shop with local pickup. Someone in Michigan should be able to wait a while and get it cheap.
