  • High Jump Problems

Hi all who seek to give me advice,

I have discovered a problem in my high jump. A lot of the times I jump onto a height that I make off and on, I land, then fall backwards off the uni. I find that this happens mostly when I tuck a lot. I try to stand up right when I land, with no prevail. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem. I read somewhere that it helps if you launch with slightly more weight on your front foot but I haven't actually tried this.

I read this advice in the Kris Holm book, and it seems to help me when I find myself falling backward after a high SIF hop.

You could try to do SIF squats on your uni. I found them very helpful to learn to stand up and finish the landing from tucked position!
