  • New unicyclist in Brazil!

    Hi

Well, one friend of school loved street unicycling and will buy today or tomorrow a Nimbus with KH cranks. I'm really happy because he lives about 100m from my house and he's from my school class

He registered in the forum today, he's username is guilhermeteles

We don't buy it in Brazil cause there aren't stores in Brazil that sell trial/street unicycles the only hardware you can buy here is bike parts that fit on unicycles.

            UDC, MDC, peppl.com, Rengade...

We don't have dealers in Brazil yet...

I'm trying to get sponsored by a Uni Companie to buy parts in a lower cost and sell everything here... Because it's really hard to get anything...

Yes the shipping is expensive but the worst problem are the duties and taxes to import something. =/

The shipping isn't TOO expensive... We're not far away from USA, and there is an intense traffic of products from USA to Brazil. UPS and Fedex are really big here!

The biggest problems are the taxes. About 70% of the total price (shipping+product)!

I don't know how imports/tariffs work in Brazil, but if its like it is in the US, but I'm sure there are some fellow unicyclists who will sell you stuff and declare it as a low value gift, so you won't have to pay any taxes on it.

This would be REALLY helpful. We don't have taxes for gifts with a lower value than 50 US Dollars!

But our parents just buy stuff from big online stores, and I don't feel confortable to aks them, if they can declare a lower value

If someone can help, please let me know
