  • Stupid bird

A stupid bird made its nest in a planter that is right by the front door. It already has 4 eggs in it so the stupid little bird has been busy.

This is very inconvenient. It means I can't use the front door or else I risk agitating the stupid bird. Why is the bird so stupid that it would build a nest just a few feet from the front door where it will get agitated every time someone leaves or enters the house?

    Grrr...

So now I'm going to have to use the garage door instead of the front door for a month or two or more.

I'll get a picture of the nest when the sun and lighting cooperate. The house and roof block the light there most of the time so getting a good picture will take some patience.

They put on panda suits and then pretend they're milking a cow. It's art. You wouldn't get it.

      Four fried eggs,
      Four fried eggs.
      Hear how the cook,
      Hear how they cook.
They all got together in JC's pan,
And became a breakfast for this fine man
Did you think that a single yolk dare ran,
      Of four fried eggs?

Yes, that's why they call it "bird brains." Before you get out the cooking utensils, I'm assuming it would be four *tiny* fried eggs. Or is it a stupid eagle or something?

Another stupid bird. Sorry, I don't know what kind of bird this was, but it was blue and it wasn't a bluejay. There was this bird that used to attack one of the back windows of our house every morning around 5:00 in the summertime. This was very annoying to our occasional guests, as people like Nathan Hoover can attest (Beau can sleep through anything). In the case of that bird, scattered bird brains! But we don't see him any more. Maybe he found a different window he liked even less?

I'm actually in the same type of dilemna.
          I'll just wait it out.

I say, if possible, just move the planter to a more convenient location. If not, see if you can't use the front door without hurting the birds. If all else fails, use the garage door, I suppose. I'm not sure about your house's layout, but I don't see it as a huge inconvenience (but once again, I don't know about your house.)

This SMART bird picked YOUR house after observing what a FINE HUMAN BEING you are, knowing that you would use the GARAGE door for as long as the bird wants you to. This is no dummy bird.

Is there bird bacon? That would solve the problem of the agitated mother, while complementing the eggs! MMMMMMMMMMmmmmm bacon....

I'll have to investigate setting up a web cam to keep an eye on the stupid bird. I don't know what I'd do for cabling to get the web cam and/or the network cable out to the front porch. Might be an excuse to add a wireless access point.

I'll gladly donate a USB webcam if you want to use it for this. Just send it back when they hatch.

Web cam? All you need is a skillet. What time's breakfast, good buddy?

Very astute! How long would stupid bird(s) last at Harper's house?

Then again, you also have to think about who decides what door you come in and out, you or a stupid bird?
