Most annoying web page? Hell no!

The most annoying web pages ever are generally advertised by...

HI PLS COME VISTI MY SITE OK BYE THX
...and generally take the form of a layout that doesn't work unless you have your window exactly the same size as theirs when they made it, a few images you've seen elsewhere and a guestbook signed by three people.

It probably has a big flashing yellow title on a black background, too...

However I have just remembered this, a node on Everything2 which sums it up far better than I can.

Yes yes, my first ever website was one of those with the leary colours made in notepad and hosted by angelfire *shudders*. I seem to remember thinking the <blink> parameter to be really, really cool.
Now, in my more grown up world of web design in which I design websites for all kinds of companies and organisations, I 'forget' those days...

but deep down inside, I think I still have a hidden fetish for the <blink> command.

<has epileptic fit just thinking about it>

I was just trying to find my first website, the sole purpose of which was to subject the public to my first computer game about racing hamsters. Sadly it was not forthcoming... Tripod must have finally realised I didn't use it any more...

Strangely enough the search thingy on Tripod's page was amusing... on searching for my name the results it came up with included such sponsored links as...

I would be tempted, but I don't think I'd get much...
